AUCKLAND SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Auckland City Of Sails

Our Auckland City sightseeing tour includes Auckland’s historic Devonport and nearby North Head for 360 degree views and why Auckland is called “The City of Sails,”  Return over the Auckland Harbour Bridge past Westhaven Marina to the central city and your tour can explore some of Auckland’s many extinct volcanoes like that at One Tree Hill.

Your customized tour of Auckland can include Auckland’s Domain, War Memorial Museum, Winter gardens or the golden sands of Mission Bay, Kohimarama Beach and St Heliers and then on to Achilles Point for views of the Hauraki Gulf Islands and Waitemata Harbour.

Some people prefer to tour west of Auckland and see the Manukau Harbour, drive & walk through native rainforest of the Waitakere Ranges, visit some of the west coast beaches like Piha beach and famous Lion Rock before finishing up at Muriwai Beach to view the Gannet Colony. .

Across the harbour from Auckland is Waiheke Island, the ” riviera ‘ of Auckland which is littered with vineyards, great cafes, restaurants, beaches and it’s only a 40 minute ferry trip from Auckland.

CLASSIC KIWI TOUR

With lots to see & do south of Auckland, just driving to these places on your tour is interesting, beautiful and breathtaking. Firstly the tour includes the Waitomo Caves for the unique glow worms experience, then to Otorohanga Kiwi Recovery show. See Kiwi close up –  excellent and professional and a world class experiences.  The tour carried on to Te Puia in Rotorua, see the magnificent Pohutu geyser & huge bubbling mud pools as well as a showcase of Maori culture. This tour is a twelve hour trip but well worth the journey.

Other places of interest on your tour include a visit to Middle Earth and Hobbiton Movie Set for those with Lord of the Rings Interest.  Close to Waitomo your tour can include a trip to Raglan for coastal beauty and surfing excellence, Papamoa for pure expanse of golden sands and Karangahake George for geological beauty.

COROMANDEL PENINSULA TOUR

Cathedral Cove In Corormandel

Our Coromanel tour takes you east from Auckland to Tairua for excellent coastal viewing.  The tour continues on to Hot Water Beach where you can dig your own hot pool in the sand.  We can visit Cathedral Cove, an unspoiled marine reserve with a beautiful rock archway connecting the land to the beach.

As you’re in charge of what you want and see and do we can customize your tour to stop at beaches, native forests, art galleries and cafes along the way giving  you unlimited options and sightseeing opportunities on your tour before returning to Auckland.

 

MATAKANA COASTAL TOUR

Matakana Coastline

Heading north of Auckland we can tailor your tour to include beautiful beaches, crafts & food markets, vineyards and wine tasting tours ($15pp wine tasting).

Your customized tour can include the magnificent coastline past Orewa, Waiwera, Warkworth and onto Matakana, We can include  Pakiri Hill, Leigh Harbour, Goat Island marine reserve where you can swim with the protected fish before moving onto Mathesons Bay.

With the Morris and James showroom (world class pottery and ceramics), Sandspit Harbour and Brick Bay lookout with awesome spectacular views.

Time permitting, we return to Auckland via the East Coast beaches and visit Takapuna before finishing up at the historic Devonport and North Head to end the tour.

With a customized tour you get to choose what you want to see & do and we can also include a few secret locations off the beaten track to be admired.

 Our costs are based on the time and distance travelled, so once you tell us what you’d like to see, we’ll send you a tailored itinerary and quote. There’s no extra charge extra for customising your tour. All prices include taxes (GST 15%) and pick-up and drop-off.
